Lío

Lío is a cabaret dinner theatre on the water at Marina Botafoch with a club attached to the end of it. The setting is genuinely beautiful — the old town lit up across the harbour — and the performance is well produced. Nobody is disputing that it's an impressive evening.

The problem is the maths. Dinner starts at around €200 a head before drinks, tables begin at €2,000, and what you get musically afterwards is incidental. For the price of one evening here, two people could have a table at Amnesia, or four could have an excellent night at Eden with dinner beforehand.

We list it because people book it by accident, expecting a nightclub. It isn't one. If it's a special occasion and the budget is genuinely irrelevant, it's a lovely evening. Otherwise there are eight better nights on this page.

Who it's for

Go if: Special occasions with an unlimited budget, and expense accounts.

Don't bother if: Almost everyone else. Amnesia or Cova Santa for the same money.

What it costs

If the door price is the problem, Amnesia is the cheaper option at €50–75 — the terrace at 5am is still one of the best rooms in europe.
