The short version
Some links on ibiza.blog are affiliate links. If you click one and go on to book something, we may receive a commission from the company you booked with. It costs you nothing extra — the price is the same as it would have been — and it does not influence what we recommend or the order things appear in.
Which links
Accommodation search and comparison, car hire, ferry and flight search, and experience or ticket booking. These are the categories where an affiliate programme exists and where readers genuinely want a booking link. Restaurants, beaches, walks, museums and village fiestas carry no commercial arrangement of any kind, because none is available and none would be appropriate.

How we mark them
Affiliate links carry rel="nofollow sponsored" in the markup, which is the standard signal to search engines that a commercial relationship exists. On any page with affiliate links, a visible disclosure appears above the first one, and this page is linked from the footer of every page on the site.
What commission does not buy
Commission rates differ between partners. To be explicit: we do not rank, order or select recommendations by commission rate. Where the better option for a reader is a non-commissioned one — a village restaurant, the public bus, walking rather than booking a tour — we say so, and we say it prominently. Several guides on this site actively recommend spending less money.
Display advertising
This site carries display advertising. Ads are served programmatically, which means we do not choose the individual advertisers and they have no editorial influence whatsoever. Ads appear in fixed positions between sections, and never as a pop-up, interstitial or auto-playing video with sound.
Amazon and physical products
Where a packing guide mentions a specific product, any link may be an affiliate link. We do not write product roundups for their own sake, and we do not recommend gear we have not used.
