What data this site collects, why, and how to make us stop.

This policy explains how ibiza.blog handles personal data. It is written to be readable rather than to be defensible, though it is intended to satisfy the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK equivalent. If you want something removed, ask and we will remove it.
What we collect
- Analytics. Aggregate, privacy-respecting page-view statistics — which pages are read, roughly where in the world from, and which links are clicked. We do not build individual profiles and we do not attempt to identify you.
- Newsletter subscribers. Only the email address you give us, plus the date you subscribed and whether you open the emails.
- Messages you send us. Whatever you choose to put in them.
- Advertising and affiliate cookies. Set by third parties (Google, booking partners) when you view an ad or click an affiliate link.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent or share your email address. We do not run remarketing lists of our own. We do not require an account, and there is nothing to log into. We do not use pop-ups to collect anything.

Cookies
The site itself sets one preference cookie, for your light or dark reading mode. Everything else is third-party: advertising cookies from Google, and referral cookies from booking partners when you click an affiliate link. You can block all of them in your browser and the site will work normally — you will simply see less relevant advertising, and any booking you make will not be attributed to us.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask what data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, and object to processing. In practice, for almost everyone, the only data we hold is an email address on a newsletter list, which you can remove yourself with the unsubscribe link in any email. For anything else, use the contact page and we will respond within thirty days.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. The newsletter is intended for adults planning travel.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and, for anything significant, mention it in the newsletter rather than changing it silently.
