Why I can help plan a stay

Experience on this island is not measured in holidays. Mine is measured in ordinary journeys: knowing how long a cross-island dinner actually takes, which beaches work without a car, where a late taxi gets awkward, and why a cheap room can create an expensive week. That does not make me a hotel inspector. It does mean the area and logistics guidance comes from living here rather than a one-week press trip. Here is the checkable version.

• Lived on Ibiza year-round since 2017, in Santa Gertrudis and before that Ibiza Town.
• Worked two seasons behind a bar in San Antonio and one on a beach club door, which is where most of the pricing knowledge comes from.
• Has paid full door price at all nine clubs on this site in the 2026 season, most of them more than once.
• Speaks Spanish and Catalan, which is how the venue and taxi information gets checked directly rather than from press releases.

How I research areas, stays and nights

For stay guides, I assess the base before the property: beach access, walkable food, noise, transport, car dependence and the traveller a neighbourhood suits. Live accommodation results help readers check availability, but do not decide editorial recommendations. Property-specific details—room layout, child policy, accessibility, transfers, price and cancellation terms—must be confirmed with the property for the traveller’s dates.

The Spanish and Catalan matter more than they sound. Taxi rules, licensing hours, Discobus timetables and the reason an area feels different in October are details I check from local or official sources where possible. For nightlife prices, I still pay at the door and keep the receipts. The fuller research method explains what changes, how often pages are reviewed and what we do not claim.

What I am not

Being straight about the limits of my knowledge is part of the point of this site, so:

• Not a DJ, not a promoter, and not employed by any venue on this site.
• Does not attend on guest list or with comped entry when reviewing a door price.
• Has not been to every night at every club — where coverage is thin, the page says so.
